Homemade Beef / Lamb Stock

Total Time: 24 hrs 5 mins



Ingredients:

  • 7 -10 beef bones with marrow
    • Or use any beef bones with a little meat left
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 2 onions – chopped w/ skin
  • 2 carrots – peeled & chopped
  • 2 tbsp dried parsley flakes
  • 9 black peppercorns
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Cold water

Directions:

  1. Place bones on greased baking sheet
    1. Brush liberally with tomato paste
  2. Bake 350 F turning midway during baking
    1. About 25 minutes each side
  3. Combine all ingredients into crock pot and cover with water
  4. Cook on low for 12-24 hours
    1. Or high for 6-7 hours
  5. Strain and refrigerate
  6. Keeps for about 4-5 days unless frozen
