Ingredients:
- 4 cups potatoes – cubed & peeled
- 1 ¼ cups water
- 2 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 cup celery – sliced
- ½ cup carrot – chopped
- ½ cup onion – chopped
- 2 tbsp parsley – snipped
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp dill weed
- 4 cups milk
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
Garnish:
- bacon bits
Directions:
- Combine in crock pot:
- Potatoes
- Water
- Chicken bouillon
- Celery
- Carrot
- Onion
- Parsley
- Salt & pepper
- Dill weed
- Butter
- Milk
- Cook for 3-4 hours on high
- Or 7-9 hours on low
- Blend flour with 1/2 cup milk stirring till smooth, then stir in soup.
- Cook, stirring constantly until smooth and bubbly.
Garnish:
- bacon bits
Variations:
Spicy!
Use chicken stock in place
of water and bouillon, and add about 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes and 2
cups of cubed ham. Put everything but the flour, and milk in. Add flour,
milk and include Velveeta cheese about 1 hour before serving.
